Broker's Comments
The Dufour 31 an extremely popular family cruiser and racer with her infamous clipper bow - since 1973 Dufour successfully built 900. She has a spacious interior, good size cockpit, uncluttered decks, and sheltering fitted windscreen. This one appears to have been well maintained during her current ownership. She is fitted with a 28hp beta engine reported to have been installed in 2000. She comes with a dinghy and outboard.
Owner comments:
She is a well found boat which boasts a large saloon, 6 berths, and a cockpit with two raised pushpit seats giving exceptional views.
It was re-engined with a Beta 28hp. and is regularly service and overhauled showing low hours.
She has hot water, fridge conversion, dingy and Honda outboard, radar, and navigation equipment. A new pressurused water tank with outlets to galley and wash basin. 2 new main batteries last year.
Replacement foam berth cushions in classic Dufour designed covers. Replacement windows, new gas cooker. Sails in serviceable condition and regularly laundered and checked. New mainsail cover and lazyjacks. Recent new dodgers make her a good looker.
We have sailed her along the English coast and northern France. Based in Gosport we have also been on many club rallies and every harbour on the Isle of Wight.
She has a survey report scheduled by the insurers and found to be sound with only minor issues, all attended to. No sign of osmosis as was epoxy treated.
After almost 50 years Yachtmaster sailing, my health and age are catching up with me leading to our reluctant decision to sell her.
