Broker's Comments
We are pleased to be presenting this 40ft blue-water, cruising Cutter Ketch.
This Ketch was built professionally, in Australia, and was designed for 'round the world cruising' to provide comfort at sea and whilst in harbour. Listening to the history, this yacht has proven her sailing capabilities and with just 3 owners from new. Please see some comments below, from the current owners:
"A rare opportunity to acquire an ocean going/liveaboard yacht, at a reasonable cost. Comfortable for living at sea, a boat to take you anywhere. Well tested on her journeys from where she was built, in Brisbane Austrailia. For 15 years we comfortably lived onboard in the Mediterranean, for 6-11 months of the year, including providing extended holidays to children and grandchildren. It is time for new owners to take care of her and continue to use her to her full potential"
Please also see comments provided from a Skipper, who has recently sailed her :
"I found this vessel to be very well appointed and looked after by her current owners. She was an outstanding, safe and comfortable yacht in heavy weather and a pleasure to sail. Ideal for extended cruising".
When I visited the boat I could see a well loved and looked after boat. As detailed in the listing, the current owners have invested in her, including rewiring, upgrading navigation instruments, new bow sprit, sails, recent engine and servicing and more. They have a maintenance schedule, which can be provided for a new owner and is ongoing. This is a reluctant sale and the current owners would be delighted to pass on all the details they know about their boat.
There is plenty of space on deck, with wide side decks and large working fore and aft decks, designed for offshore cruising. With a comfortable light interior, with plenty of windows and hatches. The galley is well appointed, with plenty of working space to prepare meals and lots of hidden storage. There is separate heads, with holding tank, private double aft and forward cabins, providing comfort to relax and plenty of storage and hanging space throughout. The comfortable saloon has a cosy and traditional feel. With a separate well equipped Navigation station, oodles of storage and a recent engine, provides everything required for cruising.
This boat would suit anybody looking for a capable, comfortable offshore cruiser, including blue-water sailing or as live-aboard.
